The photography exhibit, We The People, by Norman Silverstone will leave the Rollin Art Centre Gallery on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Don’t miss your opportunity to see local Port Albernians as they work and play. Free admission to the gallery (also wheelchair accessible).
Mistletoe
at the Rollin
Starting Saturday, Nov. 14, the Rollin Art Centre Gallery and Gift Shop turns into a Christmas Mistletoe Market.
Local artisans and crafters will have wonderful creations for the public to purchase.
The Rollin Art Centre is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free admission. Wheelchair accessible.
Christmas village at McLean Mill
On Saturday, Nov. 28 and Sunday, Nov. 29 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) local artisans and crafters will be at McLean Mill in the visitors centre and in the historic buildings throughout the site.
Visit with Dodie Kyllonen and her soaps and lotions; Lesley Silverstone and her hostess aprons; Dianne Crowley with Christmas florals, ornaments and Victorian lamps; and Ann and Mike Carlson with unique birdhouses.
Throughout the day, local songsters will be performing. Free admission to the site.
Timbre Choir sings
this Sunday
This Sunday, Nov. 8 Timbre! Choir will present their first concert of the season, Curtain Call, at the ADSS Auditorium (2:30 p.m.)
Tickets are available at the Rollin Art Centre, Echo Centre, Somass Drugs and Salmonberry’s at Harbour Quay.
Season passes (three concerts) are $30 adults, $25 senior/students and $65 family. Single tickets are $12 adults, $10 senior/students and $6 children.
Dickens comes
to life on stage
Trinity Church will be hosting a CBC-sponsored dramatic reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m.
Enjoy CBC Radio personalities Michael Tymchuk and Gregor Craigie with local readers David Lord, Pamela Walker, Nancy Wilmot, John Bennie and Elliot Drew. There will also be music of Dickens’ time, all for $10.
Proceeds to aid the Bread of Life. A non-perishable food item would also be welcome.
