Coquitlam shaved White Rock 5-3 Friday at North Vancouver’s Ambleside Park to claim the B.C. Junior (12-13) Little League provincial baseball championship.
The win advanced Coquitlam to the Canadian national championships Aug. 6-12 in Langley.
Tri-City trio on B.C. girls U-18 puck team
Three Tri-City players are among 46 invited to attend the B.C. Under-18 provincial development hockey camp this week in Nanaimo.
Goalie Kristen McDonald and forward Britney Laing, both of Port Coquitlam, and Coquitlam forward Kaitlyn Zinn are at the camp, which started Monday and runs through Saturday.
