Softball pair catches on for Canada Cup

Charlotte Dolan of Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam’s Jen Salling were among 19 players named last Wednesday to the Canadian national senior women’s softball team for the 2009 Canada Cup tournament, running July 4-12 in Surrey.
Dolan plays catcher, while the shortstop Salling was a starter for Canada in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
Salling is among nine players from the Olympic team that will be competing in this year’s edition of the Canada Cup.
The final selection camp was two weeks ago in Victoria.
