Published: October 09, 2008 6:00 PMZak Hyvarinen and Cody Craven each headed home throw-ins by Wahid Mojaddidi five minutes apart in the first half to spark the Centennial Centaurs to a 4-1 victory over Maple Ridge’s Samuel Robertson Titans in a Fraser Valley North AAA senior high school soccer league game Tuesday at Parkland field.
Dalibor Plavsic opened the scoring for the Cents in the 20th minute, before Hyvarinen and Craven tallied in the 24th and 29th minutes respectively. Plavsic added his second goal of the match in the 80th minute to seal the victory.
In another recent game, Craven and Vaughn Andrews each tallied twice as the Cents handled Port Moody’s Heritage Woods Kodiaks, 5-1.
In other FV North league games Tuesday, the Charles Best Blue Devils shaved the Pinetree Timberwolves 1-0; the Riverside Rapids prevailed 2-0 over the Port Moody Blues; and the Heritage Woods trimmed the host Terry Fox Ravens by a 2-1 count.
