Last week I heard Fin Donnelly and Diana Dilworth, candidates in the New West-Coquitlam by-election talking on the Christy Clark Show on CKNW radio.
Clark asked each of the candidates if they would change the Canada Health Act to allow increased access to private health care. I was most disappointed to hear Diana Dilworth telling Clark that a move towards American-style, for-profit healthcare is something she supports.
This is especially troubling when we see the tens of millions of American citizens who do not have access to affordable healthcare.
The Canada Health Act is part of what makes Canada one of the best places on earth to live.
