Preliminary results from the upcoming federal byelection will be available at www.elections.ca from 7 p.m. onward Nov. 9.
Four candidates, Diana Dilworth, Fin Donnelly, Ken Beck Lee and Rebecca Helps, are vying for the MP's job in New Westminster-Coquitlam, and Elections Canada says unofficial voter turnout results will be displayed in real time throughout the evening.
Once polls close, the deputy returning officers count the votes and submit results to the electoral district returning officers who, in turn, submit them electronically to Elections Canada in Ottawa.
