Administrators in new chairs this month in Tri-City school district

Students can expect to see new faces in the principal’s office when they head back to classes on Tuesday, Sept. 8

The following changes are taking place in administration:

Ross Davidson, principal of Scott Creek middle, has been seconded to the position of principal for International Education.

Carey Chute, principal at Pitt River middle, has been seconded to the post of principal, facilities initiatives.

Lois Eaton will continue in her job as principal of Coquitlam Open Learning and Kathleen Ponsart will move from her post as principal of Ranch Park elementary to district principal, Human Resources.

At the secondary level, Daren Fridge, vice-principal at Como Lake middle, is the new vice-principal at Dr. Charles Best secondary. Ross Jacobsen, previously a teacher at Tamanawis secondary in Surrey, is vice-principal at Terry Fox secondary, and Steve Roos, formerly vice-principal at Moody middle, is vice-principal at Riverside secondary.

At the middle school level, Anne Morelli, formerly vice-principal of Centennial secondary, is the new principal at Summit middle and Janine Close, former vice-principal at New Westminster secondary, is the vice-principal at Centennial.

Judy Robb, formerly administrator of Special Projects, is the principal of Scott Creek middle.

Also at the middle school level, Karen Klein moves from vice-principal at International Education to vice-principal at Como Lake middle, and Lisa Rinke, formerly vice-principal at Panorama Heights elementary is vice-principal at Banting middle. Laurie Ebenal, formerly vice-principal of Riverside secondary, is vice-principal of Maillard middle and Ceri Watkins, formerly a teacher at Riverside secondary, is vice-principal at Moody middle.

Ken Cober, formerly vice-principal at Terry Fox secondary, is principal at Pitt River middle and Abby Soh, formerly vice-principal at Banting, will be principal at Hampton Park elementary until Feb. 10 2010 when she will move to Minnekhada on March 1, 2010, to become principal.

At the elementary school level, Don Hutchison moves from vice-principal of Eagle Ridge elementary to principal of Ranch Park elementary. Sally Maidens, a teacher from Comox Valley (School District 71) is the new vice-principal at Panorama Heights elementary school and Marsha Arnold, vice-principal at Heath elementary, Delta, is vice-principal at Eagle Ridge elementary.
