The Port Coquitlam Heritage and Cultural Society is launching an essay contest, asking youth to write about what they like best about museums.
Participants are asked to to visit a museum, write a story about it and submit it to pocomuseum@gmail.com in order to be eligible for a prize.
Prizes include $25 for first, $15 for second and $10 for third and essays will be divided into the 7 to 11-year-old category and the 12 to 14-year-old category.
Submissions can also be faxed to 604-927-2388 or dropped off at 2571 Mary Hill Road.
