The Tri-Cities are once again coming together to support Share Family and Community Services and the local food bank. There will be several opportunities this holiday season for individuals and groups to help out or take part in fun events for a charitable cause.

Upcoming events currently on the calendar include:

• Dec. 12: West Coast Express Santa Trains will run, stopping as usual in Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam and Port Moody. If you bring an unwrapped new toy, you will ride for free. Info: www.westcoastexpress.com/eventcurrent.

• Dec. 11 and 12, 18 and 19: Second Storey Theatre presents Under the Christmas Tree at 201-2550 Shaughnessy St. in Port Coquitlam (reservations: 778-285-0109); partial proceeds of ticket sales will go to Share’s Christmas programs. Under the Christmas Tree is set on the night before Christmas and follows the misadventures of a group of toys. Info: www.secondstoreytheatre.com.

• Dec. 18: The CP Rail Christmas Train pulls into Queens Street Square in Port Moody at 9:15 p.m. Festivities start at 8 p.m. — an evening with live entertainment and activities for the family. Bring food donations for the Share food bank. For more information, visit www.cpr.ca.

To volunteer at any of these events, call Amanda Simpson at 604-529-5107 or email amanda.simpson@sharesociety.ca.
