The BC barometer dipped by 5.8 points to 64.5 in August from 70.3 in July and lowered the B.C. index below the national average for the first time this year. Only months ago BC small businesses led the country in optimism and now ranks sixth in Canada.

Sears riders raise money for research into childhood cancers

Nearly 50 cyclists will traverse across the country in a relay-style ride called Sears National Kids Cancer Ride running from Sept. 9 to Sept. 23.
