A pair of defensemen from the Maple Ridge Burrards senior mens’ lacrosse team were named to the Western Lacrosse Association’s all-star team, it was announced last week.
Second-year transition player Tyler Codron was named to the league’s first all-star team, while Sam Cook was named to the league’s second all-star team.
The Burrards finished the season with 192 goals against in 18 games.
The New Westiminster Salmonbellies face the Brampton Excelsiors in the 2009 Mann Cup starting this Friday at Queen’s Park Arena in New West.
