The Meadowridge Knights Community Football Association is hosting their annual Knights of the Roundtable football tournament this weekend at Albion Sports fields. The tournament is a chance for the Knights to prepare for the upcoming season in September by seeing how they stack up against teams from Burnaby, New Westminster, Abbotsford, Victoria, Cowichan and Kelowna will all be participating at the event.
“This will make for a great weekend of football” said George Clarke, President of the Meadowridge Football Association.
The atom division games are scheduled for this Saturday morning (Aug. 15), while the junior bantam and bantam teams play the same afternoon. On Sunday (Aug. 16), the peewee division teams compete in the morning, followed by junior bantam games in the afternoon. The feature game has the Knights’ midget team playing Cowichan at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
