Sabotage takes silver

The Ridge Meadows Sabotage battled hard against the top teams in the province to finish off with a silver medal earlier this month at the bantam C girls’ softball provincials in Abbotsford.
The Sabotage went undefeated in their first seven games at the tournament to meet the Naramata Wildfire in the championship final. Having been previously beaten by the Sabotage at the tournament, the Wildfire were hungry for revenge, and edged the Sabotage by single run in the hard-fought final.
Exceptional play and great team work were on display throughout the tournament by team members Nicole Janzen, Shannon Findlay, Riley Nowlan, Samantha Purton, Angie Wagner, Jen Adams, Sydney Cordes, Jen Wheeler, Kirsten Moore, Shelby Glenn, Mandy Wright, Melina Dale, and Alexis Weir.
