Rage take Lower Mainland Cup

The Ridge Meadows Rage '94 bantam B fastpitch team took home the Lower Mainland Cup after beating the Langley Thunder 4-3 in the tournament final at Noel Boothe Park in Langley last weekend.
Team members Adena Penner, Alex Murdoch, Allison Bain, Annie Kim, Cassandra Andrade, Courtney Shamro, Ellen Guelph, Hailey Taylor, Sabrina Mathias, Taya McMillan, Jackie McCurrach, Cassandra Bran, Jessica MacKinnon went 7-1 over the three-say tourney to win the title.
Despite falling to the Thunder on the second day of the competition, the Rage got their revenge in the final, coming from behind in the bottom of the seventh, and final, inning. Down 3-2, the Rage tied the game, and put runners in scoring position at second and third with one out.
An errant pitch tipped off the catcher's glove, green-lighting the steal at home. The Rage base-runner slipped under the tag for the walk-off game-winning run.
