Editor, The News:
Re: New bridge pulling in a million a month (The News, Sept. 16).
How lovely that many more are travelling north on our fabulous new bridge rather than going south.
How sad, however, that our downtown core has so little to offer them. How much debate and how little has been done.
Recently I happened to visit Fort Langley on a mid-week day – it was bustling, much to everyone’s surprise, despite of the demise of the ferry.
So, why can’t our downtown be a similar destination? Surely, we could offer that, plus the modern shopping in that useless Albion area and have something for everyone?
