Demographic winter nonsense

Editor, The News

Re: ‘We are in a demographic winter’ (The News, June 13).

Once again Laurie Geschke displays her infested arrogance by claiming she is a “REAL” woman – and the rest of the women are what? Misfits? Fictional? Unimportant? Failures? What?

She advocates to have more babies to populate this globe even more, while daily thousands of people die of hunger. In 1000 BCE, the population was about 50 million. In 2008 the world population has increased to 6.53 billion.

Demographic winter? Unbelievable nonsense.

I suspect religious reasoning for her demand. The popes attempts to deny the Catholic woman freedom of choice is obvious. It is to have a Catholic majority to run the show. Hitler had similar principles, which was one of the reason the popes and Hitler liked each other.

In 1960, the Canadian population was around 22 million. As of January 2008, it increased by 50 per cent to a whopping 33,143,610.

I am always flabbergasted why people don’t do their homework before spouting off.
