Man caught riding stolen bike

A 37-year-old man was arrested early Sunday in Maple Ridge after police said him riding an unlicensed motorcycle in the 22800 block of Dewdney Trunk Road. When police pulled him over, they found he was prohibited from driving and the motorcycle was reported stolen to Ridge Meadows RCMP on Saturday. The man was arrested and later released.

He has a court date scheduled this month.

Car break-in

A Coquitlam man was arrested on Sunday after he was seen breaking into a vehicle in Pitt Meadows.

Ridge Meadows RCMP received a call at about 3:15 a.m. about two men breaking into a vehicle in the 18900 block of 120 Avenue. Police said a witness followed one of the men when they ran away from the area. RCMP later arrested the 21-year-old Coquitlam man on Ford Road, near Harris Road. He was released and will appear in court in November on theft charges. Police were unable to find the other man involved.
