Art goes boom

An explosion of peforming arts will engulf Memorial Peace Park on Friday and Saturday.

It’s the second annual arts festival presented by Lydia’s House.

Lydia’s House is a new home for a place for developing artistic expression and omnipresent spirituality, says the group’s website.

“A place where passions and dreams snowball into something majestic. Where dauntless explorers share their fascination of God.”

The two-day event will feature original live music from Eisenhaur, Sheree Plett, Ari Neufeld, Christopher John, Shukov, Anna Vandas, Badgentina, My Dearest Friends, Carnival Knights, and The Friday Nights.

Dancers from Mirror Dance will perform and artists Steve Stanzcyk, Brandon McKay, and Sarah Osborne will have their work on display.

The event will also have interactive jam circles and art stations.

• Art goes Boom takes place at Memorial Peace Park on Friday from 6 p.m. to dusk and Saturday from noon to dusk.
