NorthRidge Foursquare Church is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a free community carnival.

The event features a variety of family activities including carnival games, face painting, bungee races and big screen video games. A free hot dog lunch will be provided and anyone who has their picture taken at the carnival can take home free copies.

“It’s our gift to the community because they’ve embraced our new church so well,” said lead pastor Rob Buzza.

“It’s fun, it’s free and it’s a great chance for families to enjoy themselves and meet with other families.”

NorthRidge Foursquare Church meets every Sunday at Thomas Haney Secondary School. The church started with a congregation of 60 people last year and has since grown to over 200 members.

The carnival runs 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 12 at Thomas Haney Centre, 23000 116th Ave.
