Nathan Stein of the Surrey Knights Swim Club placed fifth in the 100m breast stroke at the International Paralympic Committee’s Short Course World Championships in Brazil.

Stein, 17, finished the race in 1:09.82, less than two seconds away from a medal. Pavel Poltavtsev of Russia won the race in the world record time of 1:03.59.
