Midget Division

North Surrey Bears 35

Cloverdale Bengals 34

Highlights: Derreck Halicki rushed for 260 yards and three touchdowns to life the Bears past the Bengals in a close contest. Devon Tait and Tyrone Van Hoorn also scored majors for North Surrey, with Kam Gioll converting all five scores.

Shale Dunn, R.J. TeToures, Brandon Viera, Lewis Lopes and Kyle Nitchie on the offensive line, and Darrion Fung, Steve LaBounty, Derreck Evans and Cory Vleeming on defence all played outstanding games for the Bears.

Robbie Gallaugher caught three touchdown passes and Josh Dunks had a pair of long runs for majors for Cloverdale. Troy Lindsay added four converts. John Ross, Mitch Robertson and Patrick Cho caught passes for the Bengals. Outstanding blocking came from the offensive line of Jordon Taylor, Shamus Rickerby, Raj Sahota, Max Grouette and Trev Watt.

Defensive was led by Dunks and Lindsay with a fumble recovery each, and Gallaugher with an interception, and Dan Stroud, Clayton Andrews and Kurtis Bussmann with interceptions. Leading tacklers were Brian Deol, Jordon Taylor and Brandon Craig.

North Delta Longhorns 56

Coquitlam Falcons 7

Highlights: The Longhorns intercepted eight passes in a lopsided win over the Falcons. Robin MacDonald picked off four passes, while Jacob Rogers and Cody Hawkins snared two each, Hawkins returning one 35 yards for an interception.

Troy Klassen recovered a fumble, setting up his 40-yard field goal, and also caught a 50-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Leyh. Klassen also kicked a 43-yard field goal and three converts.

Other offensive highlights included Sean O’Neill stopped just six inches short of the goal line on a 67 yard pass from Leyh, andEnoch Osei breaking through the line for a five-yard touchdown.

Additional outstanding contributions came from Ford Marcotte, Tanar Rushworth, Andre Stroud, Sharif Ali and Jesse Charlton.

Bantam Division

North Surrey Tigers 42

Cloverdale Leopards 0

Highlights: Seye Ackinsanmi ran for three touchdowns and Devoun Hallums added two to pace the Tigers offence. Terrance Jones added a sixth North Surrey touchdown, while Hallums ran for a two-point convert and kicker Jonaus Levac was good on four conversions.

For the Leopards, Jack Westcott sacked the Tigers quarter back, and he and Andrew Pham played outstanding on defence. Fernando Lizarraga made several tackles, also forcing a fumble which he recovered. A highlight on offence was Sameer Nasiri with a 15-yard run.

Junior Bantam Division

Cloverdale Cougars 53

Vancouver Trojans 0

Highlights: Four players had major scores to lift the Cougars to a win. Antonio Mendoza reached the end zone four times, while Liam Kelly with two, Ahad Fayaz and Gage Morton also had touchdowns. Mendoza also kicked a pair of two-point converts while Mike Carter booted one.

Reece Russell, Fayaz, and Mendoza led the defense in shutting down the Trojans.

The Bengals got the ball off turnovers on interceptions by Ben Ingvaldson and Mendoza with interceptions, and Carter on a fumble recovery. Other top defensive players were Russell and Fayaz.

Great games were played by Riley Nagy, Bryce Telford, Landon Wisheart, Matt Bahi, Tarman Toor, Jomari Gaza, and Alex Mack.

Cloverdale Jaguars 30

Richmond Raiders 44

Highlights: The Jaguars got touchdowns from Logan Cramb, Dayton Lewis on a 60-yard kickoff return, Calab Abraham and Justin DeLaurier on a 55-yard punt return, and three two-point converts from Alex Bachmeier. Aaron Halvorson blocked a Raiders convert attempt.

North Surrey Falcons 14

South Delta Rams 6

Highlights: Quarterback Mike Lemond and receiver Isaah Brown connected for more than 250 yards of offence, including a pair of touchdowns to lead the Falcons to a win. one pass went for 95 yards and a major. Colby Peters kicked a two-point convert to complete the scoring, while the defence held the Rams to one score with Jalen Cruz making eight tackles and a quarterback sack and Nick Tujfli adding seven tackles.

North Surrey Eagles 48

Westside Warriors 0

Highlights: Lucas Gibson ran for more than 100 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown run, and kicked four converts for another eight points to lead the Eagles. Ofodile Morah with two, Jamel Lyles, Colton Cave and Willie Brenner also ran for touchdowns. Daniel Horvath completed the scoring by kicking a two-point convert.

Geordelan Gamez led the defence with nine tackles and five assists. Other leaders on defence included Horvath with a quarterback sack, Cave with an interception and a fumble recovery, Kenneth Jimeno with a fumble recovery and four tackles, and Simon Odong with four tackles.

Pee Wee Division

Cloverdale Lynx 28

Burnaby Lions 7

Highlights: Three touchdowns from Benjamin Colwell lifted the Lynx to a win over Burnaby in the Vancouver Minor Football League's nine-man championship game.

Cole Barron also had a major score, with Nash Kinna kicking a pair of converts for another four points.

The Lynx got outstanding play on the defensive line from Darius MacKay, Nizaam Khawajazada, Jared Amine and  Cameron MacMillan, while standouts at linebacker and defensive back were Devin Roberts,  Nash Kinna, Nathan Kolb, Reece Hampton and Evan MacKay.

The offensive line of Jeffrey Poitras, Hunter Alliston, Tristan McKinnon, Dylan Gill and Kristian Thompson did agret job blocking, allowing long runs by Tyson Gilfillen, Tyler Hill, Devin Roberts and Chanse Bhullar.

Cloverdale Bobcats 20

Vancouver Trojans 23

Highlights: Victor Belanger,Bruce Balfour and Drey Blair all had major scores for the Bobcats.  Blair also kicked a two-point convert. John Pacloen had a 20 yark kick return, and Will Hawkins had three great tackles. Other defensive standouts were Michael Bachmeier, Jasman Basra, Kyle Bonnes, Jordan O'Reilly, Demarcus Singleton and Balfour.

North Delta Longhorns 35

Coquitlam Cougars 0

Highlights: The host Longhorns used the speed of ball carrier Tui Binghi, the power running of Truce Ighorewo and the pass-and-run threat of quarterback Taylor Pencer to blank the Cougars. 
Defensively, the Longhorns dominated with a team effort highlighted by the third interception on the season by defensive back Austin Blum. Other strong performances on both sides of the ball came from Justin Brasato, Braeden Roberts and Devon Trent.

Atom Division

North Delta Longhorns 32

Cloverdle Tigers 6

Highlights: The Longhorns gave up the first touchdown of the game, then scored 32 unanswered points on major scores by by Jalen and Tyson Philpot, Tayvlon Johnson, and Diallo Ighorewo. The offensive line of Max Sache, Jahnek Rai, Jake McEachern, Ayden Leibich Joshua Belcourt, and Camron Taylor gave great protection for the backfield to score.

Leading the defensive effort was Brody Clark, Sunjay Bath, Reilly Noble, Dedaar Jhooty, Travis Miller, and Bradley Hayes with great tackles.
