Midget Division

Cloverdale Bengals 33

North Shore Wolverines 0

Highlights: Four touchdown runs from Josh Dunks led the Bengals. Quarterback Chris Alliston also scored a major, with kicker Troy Lindsay adding three converts.

The defence was led by Dunks and Ryan Dular with an interception each. Jordan Taylor had a pair of quarterback sacks, with and shared another with Kurtis Bussmann. Shamus Rickerby recovered a fumble, and Brian Deol, Ralph Alvaro, Patrick Cho, and Lius Quiroga-Adame all made several tackles.

North Delta Longhorns 27

Langley Stampeders 6

Highlights: A 65-yard punt return by Lucas Cordick opened the scoring, and sent the Longhorns on their way to a win.

Brandon Leyh threw for the other three touchdowns, hitting Jacob Rogers for strikes of 65 and 10 yards, and also tossing a 40-yard pass-and-run to Cody Hawkins. Troy Klassen kicked three converts.

The defence was led by Robin MacDonald knocking down three Stampeders pass attempts, and Andre Stroud pressuring the quarterback.

Other outstanding contributions came from Mike Donaldson, Sean O’Neill, Jesse Charlton, Ford Marcotte and Matthew Baker.

North Surrey Bears 51

Richmond Raiders 0

Highlights: Three touchdowns each from Derrek Halicki and Devon Tait powered the Bears to a shutout win over the Raiders. Quarterback James Dekker threw to Tyrone Van Hoorn for the seventh major score, with kicker Kam Gill booting six converts and a field goal.

Leaders on the offensive line were Nikki Layson, R.J. Detoures, Brandon Vieira and Shale Dunn.

Jeremy Reid had several long punt returns on special teams, while top tacklers were John Evans, Wilson Polh, Steve LaBounty and Derek Evans.

Standouts on the defensive line were Justin Gill and Terrance Holdane.

Bantam Division

North Delta Longhorns 42

Cloverdale Leopards 6

Highlights:

The lone Leopards touchdown came from Sameer Nasiri early in the first quarter. Jack Westcott forced many turnovers on defense, and Harman Basra played well for the Leopards at quarterback. Outstanding games were also played by Jusjeet Dadwal, Austin Lawrence and Logan Turner.

North Surrey Tigers 7

Cowichan Bulldogs 25

Highlights: A Devoun Hallums touchdown converted by Jonaus Levac were the lone points for the Tigers in Cowichan.

Junior Bantam Division

Cloverdale Jaguars 40

Royal City Hyacks 0

Highlights: Logan Cramb ran for two touchdowns and returned an interception for a third major score. Justin Delaurier, Dayton Lewis and Alex Bachmeier added a touchdown each, with Bachmeier and Carlos Alvaro adding a convert each. The offensive line lead by Harcharn Dhaliwal, Aaron Halvorson and Manveer Duhra did a great job of protecting quarterback Christian MacMillan, who completed six of seven passes for 122 yards.

Leading the way on defensive was Calab Abraham with 10 tackles and one fumble recovery, followed by Harry Nguyen, Aaron Halvorson and James Davies with eight tackles each.

Cloverdale Cougars 40

Richmond Raiders 16

Highlights: Antonio Mendoza led the Cougars offence, scoring four touchdowns and kicking a pair of converts to contribute 28 points to the Cougars total. Ahad Fayaz and Gage Morton also had major scores.

Morton with an interception, and Fayaz and Mike Carter with fumble recoveries had turnovers to lead the defence. Other top defensive players were Reece Russell, Riley Nagy and Mendoza, with other outstanding efforts coming from Liam Kelly, Bryce Telford and Zac Blouin.

North Surrey Falcons 16

White Rock Titans 16

Highlights: Isaah Brown recovered a fumble in the Titans end zone and Calven Leung on a run late in the game helped the Falcons play to a tie. Colby Peters kicked both converts.

Leading tacklers were Leung and Nick Tujfli with eight each, and Brandon Gatey with six.

Pee Wee Division

Cloverdale Lynx 44

New Westminster Hyacks 0

Highlights: Ben Colwell ran for four touchdowns and Devin Roberts and Tyson Gilfillen rushed for one each. Jared Amine and Evan MacKay were the top tacklers on defence, with Jeffrey Poitras and Devin Roberts each recovering a fumble.

North Delta Longhorns 48

North Surrey Cardinals 6

Highlights: A dominant North Delta defence was led by Athan Melios and Alex Butschler. David Graham and Nick Hutchison battled hard on both lines for the Longhorns.

Atom Division

North Delta Longhorns 30

Westside Warriors 20

Highlights: The Longhorns rallied for 22 points late in the game to earn the win. The offensive line of Jacke McEachern, Dedaar Jhooty, Fraser Pergo and Jason Kimoto opened holes for the running backs to find the end zone.

Diallo Ighorewo kicked three converts, while quarterback Marcus Garcia led the offence.

Solid defensive play from Carter Marcotte, Reilly Noble, Travis Miller, Sunjay Bath and Carson Williams allowed North Delta to come from behind. Reilly Noble had a pass interception.
