The Surrey Eagles begin their B.C. Hockey League season with a training camp at the South Surrey Arena.
Players will be divided into three teams for two daily scrimmages Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, start times at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. The roster will be reduced to two teams for a game Thursday at 9 a.m.
The Eagles also announced Ilan Cumberbirch has received a scholarship to the University of Saskatchewan.
The defenseman spent the 2008-09 season with the Eagles, and served as the team captain.
