First win for PCSL team

Surrey United earned its first victory of the Pacific Coast Soccer League season Saturday, upsetting Chilliwack FC 3-1 at Cloverdale Athletic Park.

Dani Tabo, Caitlyn Young and April Coffin netted goals for United, now at 1-6-1 (won-lost-tied) in the nine-team women’s league.

United lost last Thursday night at Simon Fraser University, dropping a 5-2 decision to the Whitecaps prospects, Annalise Post and Kuljeet Gill netted the Surrey goals.

United visits Semiahmoo FC tonight at 7 p.m. at the South Surrey Athletic Park.

Semiahmoo also won for the first time last week, getting four goals from Shanay Sangha in a 5-2 victory over the North Shore Eagles.

Andrea Login tallied the fifth goal for Semiahmoo, which has a 1-7-1 record.
