Conspicuous construction

I have just learned that there are those in our fair city that want to have 4,550-square-foot houses.
This translates into no parking, no trees which we need for oxygen to breathe, and a major increase in utility consumption – all thrown on the back of smaller homeowners.
Apparently it is so the extended family can live under the same roof. We heard that when we were conned into mega-houses years back.
The idea is prosperous and baseless.
As an example, the area of Newton I live in has several larger houses, where most of them are 50 per cent rented out.
Maybe we have forgotten about “illegal suites.”
