Creativity was worth a laugh

In response to the letter Oct. 2 titled, “It’s time to get creative,” I haven’t enjoyed a good belly laugh in a long time.
First of all, the roundabout would cost more than an extension on 84 Avenue.
Think about the vast expropriation of land involved. This would include Bear Creek and wildlife as well. A four-lane roundabout takes up more land to accommodate the turning radius of vehicles, including emergency vehicles, that already have a hard time maneuvering in traffic.
Secondly, I live in the area, and I could not believe what I was reading. It was suggested that a “fast” bus service on 88 Avenue would be creative.
Where does the term “fast” relate, when what we see on 88 Avenue is a traffic nightmare? It’s more like a parking lot.
My suggestion would be for those that haven’t had a firsthand glimpse of what is really going on, to spend 10 minutes of your time at the corner of 88 Avenue and the King George Highway.
The problem of 88 Avenue and King George Highway is not going to go away any time soon, so let’s not fool ourselves.
