Let residents decide

I am a resident on Bear Creek Drive and I’m not happy about the road through Bear Creek Park.
As it is right now, the traffic on 140 Street is busy and now council wants to send more traffic through to us!
With a church and two temples right on 140th plus the residents of 82 Avenue making U-turns on Bear Creek Drive, this just isn’t feasible – not only for the environmental factors but the increased congestion on 140 Street this will create.
Try and turn right onto Bear Creek Drive heading north – you’re taking your life into your own hands as people come flying down 140th and don’t realize some people actually do live on Bear Creek Drive.
I would like to see this happen to some of the council members’ streets and see how they feel. But as usual, they don’t care what happens in someone else’s neighbourhood as long as theirs is untouched.
I really believe the residents should have a say in this, however council thinks they know best.
I beg to differ. I thought we were a democratic society. Doesn’t look that way does it?
