On Aug. 5 at 7:30 p.m., I was driving home and saw an act of willful community spirit; two men and two women on 132nd Street working their way north of 64th Avenue picking up bags of litter from the curbs, bus stops and lawns of the surrounding houses.
In their path they left a neighbourhood that looked cared for by the people that lived and travelled there. These people know that the way to change the world is one piece at a time and our community benefits greatly from their efforts!
I would like to send them a big thank you and also challenge all residents to get out in front of their house as well as their neighbour’s and pick up the trash!
