PICS saddened over assault

It saddens and concerns us at Progressive Intercultural Community Services Society (PICS) to hear about the sexual assault of an innocent six-year-old child.
There are many sick and perverted people in our communities and it is concerning for families and the society in general.
We urge families and children to take care and cautiously take note of their surroundings. Women and children are advised to not venture out near or into wooded areas where they can be vulnerable to criminal attacks.
We sympathize with the family of the victim and give them our support. We ask all of our members and staff to help in searching for the culprit so justice may be given to the family.
At PICS, we are upset and sad about this incident. Only twisted minds can carry out this type of act – the person who has done this horrendous act should be put away from society until he is rehabilitated.
