Addicted to taxation

The politicians’ adage on taxing groceries may soon add another dire warning to their repertoire. The timing of a spring election after a cold winter of carbon taxing clean-burning natural gas for your home will give voters a chance to voice their opposition to this ridiculous tax.

Brian Mulroney was adamant on implementing the GST and his party was reduced to just two seats. Naval architect Glen Clark was adamant on the fast ferries and the NDP was reduced to just two seats. Gordon “Carbon” Campbell – do you see the pattern here?

Governments are addicted to taxation so they cannot think outside the box. To reduce auto pollution simply change the way we insure our vehicles. Insure the driver, not the car, like they do for airplane pilots. This will allow you to operate a secondary electric or fuel efficient vehicle for short hauls without the added cost of insurance. After all, you can only drive one vehicle at a time.
