Highway crash injures three

A two vehicle crash sent three people to hospital early Sunday morning in Surrey.
Around 1 a.m. a BMW and a Honda collided on Highway 1 in the eastbound lanes between 160 and 176 Streets.
Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to extricate two unconscious people from the BMW.
They were transported to Royal Columbian Hospital with serious injuries.
A third person in the a Honda had minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.
Speed and/or alcohol were factors in the crash, police said.
