Two injured in Halloween night attacks

Two men are in hospital after they were swarmed early Sunday morning in Surrey.

The first incident ocurred around 2 a.m. on the grounds of L.A. Matheson Secondary school at 9484 -122 Street.

The victim told Surrey RCMP he was assaulted with a beer bottle during a confrontation with a group of males. He stated the attack was unprovoked.

About half an hour later, there was a report that a second man had been attacked, apparently by the same group of males.

Five people have been arrested in connection with both incidents.

The victims were transported to hospital and were reported in stable condition.
