An eight-month-old child has succumbed to injuries after falling between a bed and a wall at a residence in Guildford.
Emergency crews responded to a call at 7 p.m. Sunday after a girl slipped between a bed and a wall and suffocated.
Ambulance crews attempted to revive the child at the scene, but were unsuccessful. She was transported to hospital, where she was declared dead.
Surrey RCMP say it's a tragic reminder to parents to exercise extreme caution in setting up a safe environment for their infants.
