The City of Surrey's Youth Fest 2009 takes place this weekend.
The Saturday (Sept. 19) event will feature free activities for young people throughout the day, including sumo wrestling, a Velcro wall, local band performances, dunk tank, climbing wall and skateboard demonstration.
The day wraps up with a free teen dance from 9 p.m. to midnight for youth aged 13-18.
Youth Fest begins at 4 p.m. at Guildford Recreation Centre, 15105 105 Ave. There will be a shuttle bus running throughout the day to transport young people to and from the city's various recreation centres.
