ARTS BRIEFS: Winning harmony

Westcoast Harmony Chorus presents a concert Oct. 16, 7:30 p.m. at the Terry Fox Theatre, 1260 Riverwood Gate, Port Coquitlam, featuring songs from their contest set and show package they will perform in Hawaii during international competition in November. Call 604-535-9910 for more information.

The entry deadline is Nov. 14 for the Arts Council of Surrey’s Christmas Treasures Fair. Exhibition and sale takes place Nov. 22 and 23 at Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino. Phone 604-585-2787 or e-mail info@artscouncilofsurrey.ca for further information.

Opera benefit

Young Peoples Opera Society of B.C. present a fundraising benefit called DecemberFest Dec. 14, 2-5 p.m. at Sunrise Pavilion, 10341 135 St., featuring Denim and Lace and the Uptown Girls. Silent auction and raffle as well. Call Lesley at 604-594-1385 for information.
