Several local wine-makers will showcase their recent creations.
The Fraser Valley Wineries Association is hosting their first annual Wine and Culinary Extravaganza on Sept. 6 from 2-5 p.m. at the High Point Equestrian Estate Community in Langley.
Surrey-based River's Bend Winery and Delta's Wellbrook Winery and Westham Island Estate Winery are among the dozen Lower Mainland wine-makers participating in the tasting event.
Local restaurants will provide snacks – made with locally grown ingredients – to accompany the wines.
B.C. guitarist Jesse Burch will take the stage at the outdoor tented event, delighting wine lovers' ears with his bluesy melodies.
Partial proceeds from the event will go to Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities, which provides therapeutic horseback riding to people with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities.
Tickets are $50 plus tax available through the Fraser Valley Wineries Association, www.fvwa.ca or by calling 1-800-663-1900. Attendees must be 19 years or older.
The High Point Equestrian Estate Community is located at 200 Street and 8 Avenue in Langley.
