The Delta Hospice Society has received a $25,000 donation to the capital building fund from CIBC.

The new hospice residence and centre for supportive care are taking shape as the construction moves forward at a rapid pace.

“We are very pleased to have the support of this highly regarded national bank, said hospice executive director Nancy Macey.

“Giving back to communities where we live and work is an important priority at CIBC,” said Irene Ing, CIBC’s vice–president of retail markets for Vancouver/Lower Mainland. “We are pleased that this donation is helping to make the new Delta Hospice a reality and enable its team of professionally trained staff and volunteers to deliver enhanced care and services to residents and their bereaved family and friends.

The Delta Hospice Society currently has an $8.7 million capital campaign underway to build Delta’s first in-patient hospice residence and supportive care centre.

The Society has raised 80 per cent of the necessary funding for this project.
