Alex Suter, 12, sits surrounded by the bears that she will donate to Canuck Place and B.C. Children’s Hospital in memory of her friend Quinn Dunbar, who died from cancer last December.
She also brought bears to the pediatric oncology unit at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
In total, by raising more than $1,100, Alex – a Latimer Road Elementary School student – donated 78 bears to kids battling cancer.
