Job Finding Club clients recently celebrated their graduation at the head office of PICS (Progressive Intercultural Services Society), #205-12725 82 Ave.

On hand for the celebration were Charan Gill, CEO of PICS, Satbir Singh Cheema, PICS director of employment programs and Jim Mihaly, publisher of The Surrey-North Delta Leader.

For the past 13 years, PICS’ employment programs have assisted immigrant job seekers in the Lower Mainland through unique programs such as job-finding clubs, job search workshops, job mentoring services for professional immigrants, computer resource centre, Skills Connect Initiative for Skilled and Professional Immigrants, BC Employment Program for Income Assistance clients, vocational rehabilitation services for WorkSafeBC clients and job search services for immigrant agricultural workers.

These programs enjoy a high success rate and focus on informing, training, guiding, counselling, mentoring, educating, bridging, nurturing and empowering the individuals and communities that they serve.
