A record crowd descended on the Cloverdale Amphitheatre on Wednesday to celebrate Canada Day.

Surrey RCMP are estimating about 120,000 people attended the day-long event, shattering the previous record turnout of 100,000.

The celebration at 64 Avenue and 176 Street was headlined by 54-40 and Bif Naked. It also featured an array of family entertainment throughout the day and ended with a fireworks display. Police say there were no major incidents.
