A South Surrey resident has been named as assistant vice-president of human resources for Envision Financial.
Liz Bailey-Connor has been named to the spot after serving as director of strategic talent management at Vancity, where she oversaw attraction and recruitment, organizational development and learning, as well as directing the human resources consulting team.
She also has fifteen years of experience at the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia where she served in variety of senior management roles.
“Liz is a highly talented leader with a vision to serve Envision’s employees,” said Gord Huston, Envision Financial President and CEO. “Her human resources expertise is a great asset to our organization as we continue to strive to be the best place our employees have ever worked.”
Bailey-Connor holds a Masters of Science in Educational Psychology from the University of London, and has completed a Financial Management Program at Simon Fraser University as well as the Strategic Leadership Program at Queen’s University. She was previously a Chartered Psychologist in the United Kingdom and a member of the British Psychological Society. Liz is also a past recipient of the B.C. chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators’ Award of Merit.
Bailey-Connor has been active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors at South Fraser Women’s Services Society and helping to initiate and drive the Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade’s “Change for Change” fundraising campaign in BC. She enjoys volunteering in the community and spending time with her husband and their two daughters.
