Its owners will never know

Editor:

I had to write something about this very nice police officer.

After all, you only hear negative stories about them it seems.

Last week, on Wednesday afternoon, I was driving on King George Highway in South Surrey, turning left on 32 Avenue, and there ran a very young Weimaraner dog out of McDonald’s parking lot straight into heavy traffic.

My heart was beating. Cars would brake and try to avoid hitting it.

Suddenly, this police car came out and drove behind the running and very frightened dog.

It ran onto King George Highway into coming traffic, and the policeman put on his lights so traffic would have to slow down. It ran very far down King George, finally into someone’s backyard.

That police officer saved that dog’s life, and I hope the owners got their dog back safely. They would never know what had happened.

I thought that was worth writing about.
