Seeing red over Redwood

Re: Zip lines eyed for Redwood, June 17.

I cherish the peace and tranquility of Redwood Park and would be very angry if anyone allowed anything – especially a commercial venture – to ruin it.

Redwood Park is 80 acres of rolling hills and countless trees. I love the sounds of the many birds that call Redwood Park home, and I am amused by the innumerable squirrels that scurry about as I quietly hike the park.

The green and tranquil environment of Redwood Park is a welcome relief from the noise and pollution of downtown Surrey, White Rock and Vancouver.

I will not only vote against any Surrey councillor who supports turning Redwood Park into a noisy commercial enterprise, I will work to defeat him or her.

A big “no” to the plans for Redwood Park.

Apart from wishing to keep Redwood Park in its present tranquil and peaceful setting, I would like to ask: where is the money coming from to put all these plans into action?

We all know there is not enough to go around for more important projects.
