“Das gedruckte wort lügt!”
Dear old Goethe, the German philospher – extremely well known in Germany – came out with that expession and other sayings in the old days.
It means “the printed word lies,” which reminds me l00 per cent on the diatribe against James Coleridge.
James, prior to the civic election, came out with a list of names of councillors who had voted for the Bosa Towers – very useful info particularly for new faces in White Rock.
Yes, I shall undoubtedly vote for him on any re-election.
One should always view editorials with a smidgen of disbelief; the printed word should be taken with a good pinch of salt.
Vote for the mountain climber!
If a judge wants to do something useful, find out why the rising gas prices seem to be immediately copied by all the other gas stations.
Remember, the printed word lies.
