Police are investigating a robbery at the Ocean Park CIBC.

Officers responded to the scene just before 11 a.m. Friday (Oct. 23), after a man in a wig entered the 12893 16 Ave. institution and demanded cash.

The robber didn't produce a weapon, but hinted he had one in his pocket, said Const. Kenn Meglic.

"He feigned as though he had a gun... hand in the pocket type-thing," he said.

The suspect fled on a mountain bike with an undisclosed sum of money. A wig and jacket were found nearby. A police dog team was unable to locate the suspect.

Police are gathering forensic evidence from the scene and will review video surveillance and canvass the neighbourhood as part of the investigation, Meglic said.

"They're pouring on the resources."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP robbery section at 604-599-0502.
