In our third in a series of online questions to the eight candidates in White Rock's Sept. 12 civic byelection, we ask them to :
"Show us the money."
With little room for an industrial tax base, and more complaints from residents and retail businesses that they are paying too much to support existing infrastructure, the City of White Rock has limited opportunities for income.
Conversely, the city is being increasingly asked to provide services and funding to support its citizens.
Are there more funding opportunities not being pursued by the city?
And are there places to cut the spending?
