Get a head start on Christmas shopping

Mark this date on the calendar.

Members of Kent Street are invited to the centre’s annual general meeting on Monday, Nov. 23 at 2:30 p.m.

It is a great opportunity to meet fellow members and the Kent Street Executive Board. Activity reports will be presented. Refreshments will follow.

Please note that due to the flu clinic at Kent Street, the following activities are will not meet on Friday, Nov. 13: Stretch and Strength, Carpet Bowling, Fresh and Lively Luncheon and the Kent Street Coffee Shop will be closed. All programs on the lower floor remain unchanged.

Hard to believe that December is just around the corner.

If you want to get a head start on your Christmas shopping, why not join us on Monday, Nov. 23 for a relaxed and comfortable ride to Richmond Centre where you will have time to roam the shops for that perfect gift.

This low-cost excursion leaves White Rock at 10 a.m. and returns at approximately 3 p.m.

Kent Street Activity Centre will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11 for Remembrance Day. As in past years, a wreath will be laid at the White Rock Cenotaph on behalf of all members of the centre. Regular hours of operation will resume Nov. 12.

The Stitch and Chat group meets Fridays at 1 p.m.

Bring your own craft or project to work on in the company of others – newcomers are always welcome. It is a great opportunity to socialize and perhaps even learn a new craft idea just in time for Christmas.

Join us for the Mature Drivers Workshop. Co-sponsored with White Rock Community Policing and BCAA, this practical classroom workshop is on Thursday Nov. 12 from 9:30-11:30a.m. at the new White Rock Community Centre.
