Just in time for the holiday season, Surrey Art Gallery Association (SAGA) presents two events at the Surrey Art Gallery that showcase the work of local artists.

SAGA Art Rental and Sales Program presents an expanded showcase of new artworks in its SAGA Showcase exhibition that continues to Dec. 6.

Visitors will see a wide selection of original artworks by local artists in a variety of media including oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel and collage.

The Gift Shop’s annual Show & Sale takes place Saturday, Nov. 28, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 29, noon to 4 p.m. with expanded floor space featuring over a dozen artists showcasing new work.

A varied selection of original work by artists and artisans from around the Lower Mainland, Vancouver and Gulf Islands is available.

Visitors will discover decorative and functional pottery, ornaments, finely crafted jewellery, glassware, prints, fabric art, cards, soaps, stained glass and woodwork.

Members of SAGA are eligible for a 15 per cent discount (Art Rental and Sale artworks are exempt).

SAGA memberships can be taken out on the days of the Show & Sale. Surrey Art Gallery Association (SAGA) is a non-profit society, formed in 1983 by Surrey citizens.

As an advocate for the gallery, SAGA raises funds and operates programs that complement those presented by Gallery staff.

Surrey Art Gallery is located at 13750 88 Ave. Call 604-501-5566 or for further information.
