There’s a new church in town, and it’s all about connecting, says Pastor Dave Ellis.

“When communities grow, they need more ways to connect, and Emmaus Church is coming to Grandview Heights to provide another place for people to meet each other, and discover more about who Jesus is, as they journey along with others through life,” said Ellis in a statement.

Emmaus Church will celebrate its official beginning Sunday (Sept. 20) at Pacific Heights Elementary, 17148 26 Ave.

Community members are invited to come out for coffee, tea and snacks at 10 a.m. A 10:30 a.m. to noon service will follow. There will be a program for children in Grades 1 to 5, and childcare provided for those two to five years old. For more info, visit www.emmauschurch.ca, or call 778-241-1414.
