Peninsula resident Susan Carter is looking for donations for a 36-year-old Surrey woman, who is 38 weeks pregnant and doesn't have anything for her baby.
The woman recently arrived in Canada from a refugee camp, and has been collecting pop bottles so she will have taxi fare when she goes into labour.
Carter will pick up any baby and toddler items – including furniture, clothing, food and supplies – from those with donations.
